Overview of Midnight Medallion Quilt Along

Welcome! On this page you will find all the information you’ll need as part of the Midnight Medallion quilt along (QAL) in collaboration with Brother USA. This page will be updated weekly throughout the duration of the QAL (March 2, 2026 to April 12, 2026) with links to blog posts that include bonus projects, tips and tricks for successful outcomes at the bottom of this page. The links will redirect you to The Weekend Quilter blog.
  

How to Participate

1. It's FREE to participate in the QAL. Yay! Sign up for weekly Midnight Medallion QAL updates to be delivered to your inbox* here for the duration of the QAL (March 2, 2026 to April 12, 2026). Once you provide your details you will receive a welcome email from The Weekend Quilter (be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you don’t hear from Wendy within an hour or so).
 
Each Monday throughout the QAL period, you will expect an email from Wendy at The Weekend Quilter with instructions on what you’ll need to do for the week and links to blog posts on The Weekend Quilter with bonus projects, tips and suggestions for successful outcomes.
 
2. Download the Midnight Medallion quilt pattern for FREE from The Weekend Quilter’s website (the-weekendquilter.com).
 
3. Follow and share your progress using the #MidnightMedallionQuilt #BrotherSews hashtags, tagging @The.WeekendQuilter and @BrotherSews on Instagram and Facebook.
 

The Calendar

The QAL will operate on a 6-week schedule, starting March 2, 2026 and ending on April 12, 2026:

•    Week 1 (w/c Mar 2): Gathering and cutting fabric
•    Week 2 (w/c Mar 9): Create Friendship Star quilt blocks
•    Week 3 (w/c Mar 16): Create Flying Geese units
•    Week 4 (w/c Mar 23): Create Sawtooth Star quilt blocks
•    Week 5 (w/c Mar 30): Create Border quilt blocks
•    Week 6 (w/c Apr 6): Assemble quilt top, baste quilt and bind
